Jay Alexander, Keysight Technologies SVP and CTO, gave a keynote presentation during the IEEE Globecom event in San Diego focused on the future needs of test and measurement. The move to 5G has a greater focus on applications as well as new and novel approaches to operator and vendor business models. This will drive an even further set of dimensions to simulation, measurement, and validation with an unprecedented emphasis on software and applications relating to network performance, he said.
