Here we have the Fiber QuickMap with our 50um launch fiber plugged in connected to our link under test. We are ready to take a measurement. The last or end event is displayed first and we can use the arrow keys to step through the events found. We are currently showing our last event at 259.3 meters. Pressing the down arrow we see our next event which has a good connection. Pressing the down arrow again and we see the bad splice in our demo artifact, which exceeds our preset loss limit in FQM. Both the reflectance and dB loss limits can be set in the menu. The Fiber QuickMap is capable of displaying up to 9 events and lengths can be displayed in either feet or meters.
