Utilizing Mellanox's FDR InfiniBand and 40Gb/s Ethernet interconnect solutions, the 1,000 node EMC Greenplum Analytics Workbench Hadoop cluster operates at blazing fast speeds, up to 56Gbps, between the server nodes. Mellanox's Unstructured Data Accelerator (UDA), a software plugin, provides the MapReduce portion of the framework with the ability to utilize RDMA connectivity between nodes, reducing CPU overhead and enabling lower latency connections.
