I just got wireless cards for my kid's PC, but even though the cards are rated at 100 Mbps, I am only getting 54 Mbps out of them. Why? I am using a D-Link DIR-635 router.
I have a 1.5 Mbps DSL connection and a DIR-655 router. The built-in NIC in my computer is 10/100. Would I get any more speed by switching to a gigabit NIC?
