In Japan NTT DoCoMo LTE has found a unique way to sell customers on LTE. The advertisement demonstrates how you can fry shrimp in just three seconds. I don’t know how much it has to do with LTE, but It is quite impressive. Take a look.

Sk telecom has developed two core technologies for 5g.
One of the new technologies is called “orchestration” which helps engineers design and develop mobile services on a cloud network.
The other technology is called “cloud virtualized radio access network and builds base stations for the 5g network. It was co-developed by Nokia uses cloud computing technology to put invisible networks and base stations into virtual space.

Bharti Airtel is making price cuts to 4G.
The company announced that its cutting prices for 4G below 3G prices.
This is a move to prepare for the launch of 4G by Reliance Jio Infocomm.
Reliance will be in direct competition in Bengaluru and Pune where Bharti Airtel operates 4G services

Officials with the European Commission are again pushing for a unified telecommunications market to cover the 28 member countries of the European Union.
The goal is to get rid of roaming rates in the European Union, harmonize broadband spectrum use and push for net neutrality.
European Commission Vice President Andrus Ansip said a single telecom market could save EU companies and consumers more than $300 billion dollars.

A big executive shake up in the news, Jesper Anderson is taking over for Robert Thomas as the CEO of Infoblox. Anderson spent five years as a senior vice president at networking giant Cisco. Before that he was a higher-up at Oracle. Infoblox specializes in network security. The new CEO announcement caused a noticeable spike in the company’s stock prices.

The pursuit of EE has become a three-horse race with private equity firms KKR and Apax reviving their past interest in a joint bid for the UK’s largest operator.


In the wake of BT’s acquisition talks with the owners of EE and O2, Vodafone is reportedly considering a bid for the cable group Liberty Global. It has been reported the mobile operator already approached Liberty earlier this year, but found price expectations too high.

T-Pay has partnered with 19 mobile operators from 12 countries around the region to offer over 200 million mobile subscribers, or more than half of the total population of the Arab region, the ability to charge their online and digital purchases directly to their phone bills through Direct Operators Billing
